A few of the posters here had it exactly right. Anytime you get this many urban blacks together there will in fact be a shooting. This happens because of the disproportionate number of criminals and illegal firearms. It happens every year. Its all part of the culture. WHY does this happen every year? Because the parents, (usually consisting of a Mom who sometimes has too many kids to monitor correctly, and who may be working one or two jobs and the fathers who statistically arent there in many cases) accept it as part of the culture. By that I mean they know who the drug dealers, gang bangers, drive byers, car jackers and burglers are but because they are their sons, nephews, brothers and neighbors they turn a blind eye and will even lie to the po-lice to defend them. Until these people as a group decide to stop living like this absolutely nothing will change.

They already have Martin Luther King Day….really? We need another day to celebrate the color of ones skin? So, when’s the spray tan orange-skin day? I doubt anyone will get slaughtered there.
